In 2010, Tatenda felt that God wanted her to go and serve vulnerable children, youths and adults in the streets of Harare, Zimbabwe. In 2014, with limited resources, she decided to go into the streets and spend time with children, praying and caring for their needs, listening to their stories and dreams and encouraging them never to give up HOPE.
At the age of 8, Jerry, living in the U.S. saw a UNICEF commercial of children in Ethiopia who were malnourished and impoverished. His heart broke at seeing them and he hoped that one day he might be able to help vulnerable children in Africa. In February, 2009, while working for Oasis, a non-profit Christian charity organization, Jerry moved to Zimbabwe to work with children living and working on the streets. In 2014, while on outreach, he met Tatenda helping children in the streets and ever since then they began partnering together assisting vulnerable children.
